Yellow Buck Trail

2.0 (2 Ratings)
Steep, rough, gnarly, rutted out, but also nice, gentle, and unassuming. The trail has a mix of it both. It still hurts!

Description
The Yellow Buck Trail decides, right out of the grate, to punch you in the mouth. The trail is steep, rutted out in sections, and generally kinda sucks on its way to the summit of Yellow Buck Mountain. But for some reason, you might love it if you're a masochist. But once you have cleared the summit after a steep but short down pitch, the trail joins an old logging road and becomes remarkably manageable and nice. So it isn't all bad. Plus, this trail helps you make some killer loops in the Wilson Creek area, so don't be too quick to dismiss it. Just be prepared for some pain.
