Description
Riverbend Park is 666 acres and has many trails that loop and intersect with each other. Most intersections have signs and you can always get a map at the office before you start. Bikes are allowed on the trails and some sections allow horses. I did 4 miles my first time there (the route mapped here) and another 4 miles my second time on completely different trails. I still haven't covered all the trails. I saw deer both times I visited which makes this one of my favorite local hikes.Overall, the trails are wide, level, and well-maintained. The equestrian trails have some grass growing on them but are also wide. You get to see wildlife if you are lucky. I've seen deer, raccoon, rabbit, squirrels, alligators, and a variety of birds.
