American Bison Trail

This trail touches both the north and south faces of Genessee Mountain, and boy are they different! As you go around on the western slope, there are some stunning views of Mt. Evans as well as the Continental Divide. You can also get very close to the buffalo herd enclosure. This trail is mostly non-technical, and if you are starting at the Buffalo Herd Overlook off of I-70 and going up, there are restrooms and a fantastic view at the top of the mountain.
