Description
I always climb up this way, but it can also be a fun, less rocky route down. As a climb, it's pretty technical, mostly due to the railroad ties that you have to get up and over. There's also a good number of ruts and rocks to get over. It may be technical, but at least it's steep too! You do get a few chances to catch your breath along the way, so take them when they come. This trail ends up joining with the Big Rock Trail, which ends up going up to a fire road that can be taken all the way to the top of Cowles Peak.
