Description
You may park at the Long Point Lighthouse and the trail begins just past the lighthouse. The first part of this loop trail features spectacular views of the area and if the time is right, you may see icebergs floating out at sea! The first section is fairly steep with up and down sections alternating as you hike along the coastline cliffs of the area. You'll then reach Devil's Cove.As you continue along the coastline, keep an eye out for whales or other wildlife! You'll then reach another cove area where there is a connection to another trail. Here, you'll want to head toward Crow Head. You'll continue through a moss covered forested area which may have some wet areas, so be prepared for that. As you continue on the path, you'll finally reach a few lookouts with a birds-eye view of Crow Head. You'll then scramble down a fairly steep section that utilizes a rope for balance that will eventually dump you out on to a road. Turn left at the intersection on to Main Street. Follow the road and pass the Crow's Nest Cafe on the right. This is a great stop for a lunch or bite to eat! Continue down the hill along the road and turn right on Broadview Street. This will take you to a dirt road that you'll follow up the hill and back around to the coastline cliff views. Follow the trail to Seabreeze Park and Sleepy Cove. Head back up the hills along the coastline and follow the trail that meanders along the coastal cliffs and then through the forest back, up to Long Point.
