Description
This moderate hike sports consistent grades the whole way. While there are beautiful views at the top on clear days, you can still get an interesting glimpse of Rainier when it's slightly overcast. Overall, the trails this hike uses are rocky and have lots of roots. Once you reach the top, you can stay on the ridge of the mountain and hike south for a small extension. For an easier hike, consider Summit Lake. It shares the first mile of the hike with this one but is less steep.
