There and Back
Deep Creek Canyon is unique and well worth your time. Access is easy from Carlton Rd Trailhead. You can take the Centennial Trail about 3/4 mile to the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue uphill on the paved trail. At the top there is a road the makes a sharp hairpin right turn. Take this road another 1/2 mile or so to the lookout. Descend onto singletrack Trail 25 into the canyon. The final descent is steep and veers to the left to cross the rock creek bed. Crossing the river bed is rocky and uneven. Veer a bit right in the river bed and you'll see the continued Trail 25 off to your left. Enjoy a nice steep climb with switchbacks out of the river/canyon.
