The multi-tiered seasonal Loon Lake Waterfall pours over sheer, cascading cliffs, down through a lush, old-growth forest of Douglas fir and into Loon Lake. The trailhead lies at the south end of the Loon Lake Recreation Site Beach, marked by a solitary sign. Beginning as a paved path but quickly becoming a dirt path, it is a short quarter-mile walk up and down slopes and stairs to the trail's end. It opens up at the base of the falls, offering a wooden bench to sit and enjoy the ambiance. The lush, green forest filled with tall trees, ferns, clovers and other flora is sure to delight any waterfall enthusiast. Return on the original upper trail, or take the alternate waterfront trail offering panoramic views of the picturesque Loon Lake. The nearby Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort is a great spot to stop for a quick swim or a bite to eat as you wrap up your day. This resort features cabins, yurts, campsites, and full-hookup RV sites along with a marina for those interested in exploring more of what Loon Lake has to offer.
