Description
James S Long Regional Park is a busy park in a suburban area hosting a regular lineup of group sports activities. A system of trails in the forest surrounding the park offers a decent opportunity to get in some walking or light hiking. Upon entering the park, go past the immediate parking areas closest to the entrance off of state route 15, to the second left turn, revealing additional fields and pavilions. Pick up the trail at tend of the parking lot, and follow it around the perimeter of the fields, returning through the tennis court area and crossing the road to the point where you entered the parking lot. Some spots are singletrack, but most is wider doubletrack. Many variations are possible for a total of 2-3 miles.
