Description
Park near the beach area and catch the Lakeside Trail. From there, hike clockwise around lake to catch the red-blazed Big Red Trail. Hike the entire red loop (clockwise or counterclockwise) to arrive back at lake and hence back to parking area. Maps are available at park office, but all major trail junctions are equipped with laminated, topographic trail maps; it is very easy to navigate on the go. Once you are away from the lake, this is a nice, secluded loop that is never crowded.
