Description
This self-guided trail starts at the Rocky Ridge Visitor Center and follows the western shore of Lake Del Valle before heading up into the southern hills and returning to the parking area. The trail has 10 marked locations along the trail. A brochure available at the trailhead near the visitor center provides more explanations about the flora and fauna of these locations. Heading northwest from the visitor center, the first half of the trail is flat and paved. When you reach the parking area, turn right towards the Ardilla Group Camp and immediately left up the oak hill. Once you reach the top of the hill, stay left and descends towards Sailor Camp Trail. The parking area is just 200 yards to your left.
