Description
Lyle Creek Greenway follows the banks of Lyle Creek for 1.6 miles. This trail is an excellent location for hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing. This trail was partially produced using recycled concrete materials and is part of a 6.3-mile loop in the City of Conover. The greenway begins past the athletic fields behind Tri-City Baptist Church and across the small road. The trail starts in a wooded area that follows Lyle Creek. Then, there is a small open area along a field before the greenway crosses County Home Road. The trail then enters another wooded area and parallels County Home Road before it ends at 10th Street. This is a smooth singletrack trail (out and back) that is perfect for a short, easy hike! There is one road crossing on this groomed dirt trail. Parking is available at the trailhead located directly behind the Tri-City Baptist Church. The church address is 1409 Hwy 16N, Conover, NC 28613.
