Boulder Creek Path

The Boulder Creek Path is a popular multi use trail that parallels namesake Boulder Creek for most of its length. The path can be hiked or biked from Boulder Canyon east of Eben G. Fine Park to the Stazio Ballfields (pass 55th street) to the west.Most people will just hike a small portion of the trail. A popular section can be started at the beautiful Eben G. Fine Park. This park features open space and a section of Boulder Creek that is popular with swimmers, tubers and kayakers.From here the trail crosses the creek and continues west. There is the main paved trail, but also a dirt pathway that runs closer to the creek during this stretch. While it is scenic walking along the creek, be aware that there are commonly homeless people camped in this area.The trail then passes the Evert Pierson Kids' Fishing Pond. This pond is adjacent to the creek and is a great spot to fish, but is only open to kids 12 and under to cast a line.Continuing onward the Boulder Creek Path passes the Boulder Public Library, Central Park, and the Boulder High School. It is a short and easy detour to downtown Boulder and the Pearl Street Mall if you so wish.You can continue for as far as you like on the Boulder Creek Path. When you reach your desired turnaround point just return the way you came back to the trailhead.
