Path Type
Point to Point
This trail is part of the original trail to the summit of Mount Evans.
The trail begins at the Camp Rock trailhead in the Mount Evans State Wildlife area. It passes through private land for approximately .8 mileas it climbs up and over a ridge toward Beaver Meadows. In Beaver Meadows are two old shelters, built by the Forest Service in 1917. Moose are not infrequently seen near the meadows. From Beaver Meadows, the trail climbs gradually up a moraine toward Resthouse Meadows. Just before reaching Resthouse Meadows, you reach a three way intersection with the Resthouse and Cub Creek trails.
