Tri-State Peak Loop

The trail begins in the parking lot and follows the Object Lesson Road up to the Gap. You'll find signs there indicating the trail continues on or you can go to Tri-State Peak Trail to Tri-State Peak. It's a bit of a climb up to the peak, but worth the view. The overlook is well marked by surveyors, indicating which state is which. Return on the same path back down or you can continue on what will become part of the Cumberland Trail into Tennessee. This path returns the way we came. On the way back, take the Wilderness Road Trail to the left to stroll through the forest on a much less used path. You'll cross a small stream a couple of times on your way back down to the parking lot.
