Description
Start at the visitor center, and go to the NE corner of the parking lot to the Brooke Creek Trail; go left onto the Widowmaker Way, and continue to Hares Canyon Trail. Go left, and follow this trail to the unnamed trail on left where there is a barrier that you can hike around. Follow the trail to left to Hook Tender, and go left to Hares Canyon Trail. Follow this back to junction with Widowmaker Way, continue to left to Brooke Creek Trail, and follow this back to the parking lot.
History & Background
First new State Park in Oregon. Land trades made it possible. Opened in 2007. L.L. Stub Stewart was a lumber business man and supporter of the park system.
