Loop
Dry Fork canyon is a popular feature along Hole in the Rock road because of easy access and slot conyon tributaries that feed into it. This loop hike is through the upper part of the canyon where the slot begins and feeds into a large dry wash. From Hole in the Rock road parking area, cross the road and follow the faint trail through low brush. Watch for a trail sign further in. The trail becomes more visable after the sign. The trail runs parallel to the Dry Fork until you reach the rim loop trail and turn left. The trail drops into the canyon gradually. Varying width and depth of the slot is encountered along the way until it steadily deepens and becomes wide. The slot meanders through the rock before a sudden exit out of a rock face into a dry wash. From this exit, Peek-a-boo slot canyon is only a few hundred yards away.Make a sharp right turn following a rock face to a steep clumb up out of the canyon. The trail is marked with cairns along the way. Once on the well defined rim trail, turn right and follow back to the trailhead. Wide, expansive views of the area can be seen all along the rim trail.
