Eagle's Loop

From the Eagles Nest observation platform just south of the gondola, take the paved path uphill along the ridge. At the fork, head left through the scenic wedding/amphitheater area for views of Holy Cross and Game Creek bowl. To cut it short and return now, close the loop by returning to the gondola area along the paved path (Eagle's Loop alternate). To extend the trail, take the dirt path west from the far end of the paved loop towards the end of the ridge. Pause at the benches and picnic tables to enjoy the alpine breeze and views before heading back on the front-side of the ridge. Take in the Gore Range views but keep an eye out for Frisbee golf players as this trail passes through their playing field before ending back at the gondola area.
