Access to certain trails maybe an problem during summer months during Boy Scout occupation.
Path Type
Loop
This hike is quite uneven in terrain and includes areas of bogs and boulders. There is a steady incline and decline of small hills as well. The area is owned and managed by the Boy Scouts of America. They go a little overboard in blazing trails so it is easy to get confused on the trail system, but they do maintain them well. It is also one of the prettiest stretches on the Narragansett Trail, as well as, this part of Rhode Island and Connecticut. This stretch of trail includes stands of Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, Eastern Hemlock, and Pine which either close in your view or open it up broadly across the water.
