Description
This is a fast multi-use trail that completes a long figure-eight loop. Start out clockwise along the bigger loop and then head counterclockwise around Shannon Lake. The part around the water is very scenic and flows nicely. In the winter, the Shannon Lake Trails are groomed by the Eagle River Fat Bike Club. Check their facebook page for grooming reports and trail conditions, here. When there is snow, expect to share the route with hikers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers.
