Description
Cross the bridge at Hemlock Crossing and take the trail right/east at the junction with Stevenson Trail. The trail contours south along the San Joaquin River with wonderful views of numerous waterfalls. After crossing Dike Creek, the trail will switchback a couple times to cross Iron Creek. Enjoy views of the Ritter Range towering above to the east and the high peaks of the Yosemite NP border to the west. After a few rocky sections, the trail enters into beautiful forest sections punctuated by Naked Lady, Earthquake and Headquarters Meadows. Be sure to keep left at the junction in Earthquake Meadow. The Iron Creek Trail ends at the Mammoth and Iron Lake Trail.
