Point to Point
The Cascade Falls Trail leads up and away from the Patapsco out of the Orange Grove parking area. The trail follows a small tributary with several stream crossings along the way, including the cascade falls that it gets it's name from. There are several waterfalls ranging from several to ten feet in height with various pools of water around them. While these make for a nice place to stop and wade through or swim, the trail is gradually uphill the entire length, and there can be some obstacles as you make the ascent. The trail ends at an external parking area along Landing Road, allowing for one way trips or opposite direction hikes as needed. There are several trails branching off from either end that make for excellent extensions if you are looking for a longer hike.
