Green Pond

From the main lodge at the base of Snowbasin, follow Needles to a junction with Green Pond. Bear left and begin the first gradual climb.The well-traveled trail will traverse some open ski runs before dipping into the forest and beginning a nice, gradual descent. Descend through the woods and back into the open to a low point at Green Pond. After passing the pond, settle into a continuous, albeit mellow, ascent to the end of the trail. At mile 2.75, you'll cross a dirt access road. Shortly after crossing the road, you'll see Last Chance join from the left. A final jaunt on Green Pond will lead you to its terminus, again with Needles. From here, either retrace your steps on Green Pond, enjoy a pleasant hike down Needles back to the base or turn left on Needles to continue ascending the mountain.
