Access Issues
The trails are open year-round but can get muddy (or snowy) in places during the winter. The trails are used by hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians, so please observe proper trail etiquette. A few trails are reserved for mountain biking (these are usually signed as such), so please don't hike on these. There are no potable water sources in the park or along the trails - be sure to bring plenty of your own.

Description
The 1.2-mile Owl Hoot Trail departs from the Twin Peaks Trail, contours around Twin Peaks through Mountain Mahogany Meadow and then descends to end at a junction with the Boulder Trail. This is another trail built along an old ditch used to transport water to the hydraulic mine further down canyon. It offers great views out over much of the park from the meadows.
