Description
From the Spence Mountain trailhead off of Highway 140, the trail starts right behind the kiosk. At Junction 1, (about 200 meters after the kiosk), stay right. The trail climbs gradually and is pretty mellow all the way up to the summit of Spence Mountain. A couple of short rocky sections are present. On the way to the summit, the trail crosses old logging roads three or four times. The trail continues on the other side of the road each time, so navigation should not be an issue. There are also signs at most intersections. Once you've reached the high point, take a short detour and check out the actual summit of Spence Mountain before heading down.
