The Coon Creek Trail follows a lush creek valley surrounded by 700 - 1500 foot canyon walls. The trail consists mostly of smooth, packed dirt with occasional rocky sections but is not difficult. The green foliage provides an unexpected divergence with the dry upper reaches of the surrounding mountains.
