Description
Pittsburgh Lake is located at 9,500 ft., so expect snow much of the year. The trail to the lake is rocky and steep, and frequently wide enough for two hikers to hike side by side. Be sure to hike around the lake to see the old historic cabin. It can be a bit tricky to find the trailhead due to a stream bed crossing. It can be accessed with a 4WD vehicle, or you can leave your vehicle and hike up to the parking area.
