Description
The trail leaves Dragon's Back Trail on Mammoth Mountain to the west. Initially descending quickly, the trail hugs the slope with a very gentle grade. As you pass through a few more open areas, you can see Horseshoe Lake and Lake Mary. Cross Mammoth Pass to Reds Meadow after 1 mile and continue straight. Another quarter mile further gets you to McLeod Lake.
