Rustic Canyon Trail

From the trailhead at Murphys Ranch, go south and continue on the right side of the trail. The first mile of the Rustic Canyon Trail is mostly dry, but there could be running water after rain. The trail has not been well maintained and consequently, there are fallen trees, lots of roots and rocks. Be prepare to climb over big obstacles. Also a hot spot for rattlesnakes! From mile 1, the trail will lead to a small running river, but this is mostly walkable with ankle deep water (be careful after a rain storm, as water level might be higher). The stream brings down lots of roots and loose rock in this section, so watch your footing or you'll get wet! At mile 2, look for the "End Trail" sign. Head to the right and continue up to the trail. Be sure to stay on the trail for this part, as it traverses close to private property and farmhouses. The trail will end at the east side of Will Rogers State Park.
