4.3 (9 Ratings)
Climb ~2300' over 3.5 miles to the top of Tahquitz Peak! There is a very cool fire lookout station on the top.

Description
South Ridge Trail is a very steep and fun jaunt through the wilderness. The trail gets progressively more challenging, and don't worry, as it gets steeper the higher up you go. The view at the top is pretty awesome though, and from Tahquitz Peak the trail continues to the PCT where you have the opportunity to turn your hike into a really fun loop. I headed back down in the light of the setting sun, which was quite the experience.
