After a shallow stream crossing on the east end, the trail heads uphill. The trail quickly increases in grade, with several steep sections along the way. The trail is rocky throughout, with some sharp cutback as well. The singletrack is tight in some sections, with a steep drop off to the south, hikers should take care with footing.
