Description
At nearly 26 miles in length, and the option to add the Sandy Beach Spur Trail, you can wrack up a lot of mileage on this easy trail. This section begins at the Canal Recreation Area (permanently closed) on Highway 52 and ends at Highway 45 near the Diversion Canal just past the Santee Cooper power station. It follows mostly gravel and dirt service roads along the dikes on the east and north sides of the lake with some singletrack in the last few miles before reaching the power plant.
