This lollipop loop on the east side of Hardy Road is a blast, and well worth the climb. The climb is steady with a few short breaks along the way. There are a couple rock step-up/downs in the switchbacks on the stick part of the lollipop, and range from from 2' to 6' in height. The upper loop is fun in both directions, with some filtered views of Whiteface from the upper ledges.
The climate here is somewhat unique for the area. All-In Trail follows a ridge that sits squarely in the rain-shadow of Whiteface at a relatively low elevation, meaning it's significantly drier and warmer than surrounding areas. It's not uncommon to come from Lake Placid where it might be cloudy and raining to find Hardy Road dry and sunny. This trail tends to dry out very quickly, and is one of the first to be ready in the early season and after a rainy spell. The upper ledges are a great place to stop, have a beverage, and recover from the climb.
