Description
This is a beautiful short, two loop metro park trail. When combine with the All Persons Trail, there is a mix of 30% pavement, 10% gravel and 60% woodland trail. This trail is not technical, with less than 250 ft elevation change, but it is a pretty trail with a lot of scenery change in such a short trail. There is a half mile gravel stretch along the top of the reservoir, then a wooded section followed by paved section through a mowed park area. There are no real technical aspects of the path, but you can add a mildly technical section by hiking the top of the ridge of the water shed area that adds about a quarter mile. Overall, this is a short but beautiful trail in metro park system.
