Description
The Deerfield Trail can be accessed from a small parking area at the corner of Toms Creek Road and Deerfield Drive. The trail parallels Toms Creek and is paved for its entirety and totals 1.6 miles out and back. The trail is gradual and generally level with a width that allows you to hike alongside a partner. There are several interpretive signs along the way which encourage you to stop and be mindful of the wildlife that surrounds you. There is a nice grassy area with benches off the west side of the trail beside the creek when the trail crosses over Toms Creek. The trail is largely under the cover of trees and only has one short portion in the sun, so it would be a good hike any time of the year. Consider bringing along a small trash bag to contribute to caring for the trail by picking up any trash you may see while on the trail. Enjoy!
