Hidden Lake Spur

For many, a visit to Hidden Lake is the highlight of a trip to the Palisades Lakes area and their favorite lake of all! This side trip is relatively short, but the steep climb from the junction of the Palisades Lake Trail will get your heart pounding. Head west and grind uphill for about 300 feet before reaching the eastern edge of this enchanting lake. Rocky crags tower above this lake and Marcus Peak is visible to the southwest. Amble along the southern shore to find your favorite piece of solitude. Some folks continue on an unofficial scramble to the top of Marcus Peak for even more expansive views.
