Description
Begin at the campground parking lot and head straight. The trail winds along the side of the buttes going through some trees on the north facing slopes before coming out on a narrow strip of badlands with 360-degree views. Continue downward twisting along the edge of the buttes before heading around several switchbacks and crossing through some orange rock known as scoria. Cross a section of slumping landslides before entering a section of badlands and petrified sandbars. Head into the prairie with the badlands rising on your left and curve down, cross a bridge and go down into the stream bed with ample foliage and cool temps. Follow the stream bed until the intersection with the T Trail.
