Back Bay Loop Trail

This trail follows the northern side of the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve. It is a paved trail with a couple of bridge crossings. There are horse trails that follow this trail as well, which means you can turn this into a full-blown hike; at least from the nature center to Jamboree Road. Along the entire trail you have views of the preserve and its wildlife. While you are hiking beware that this is heavily used by cyclists of all kinds.
