If you're looking for easier hiking around Montreat, than this trail is a good choice. You can use it to make some good loops with other trails in the area as well. The trail is mostly wide, but some sections are a bit tighter and more singletrack like. From this trail you can access Rainbow Mountain Trail, Old Mitchell Toll Road, Lookout Trail, and Trestle Trail.
