Description
Spanning 150 miles from the Delaware River and Riegelsville, NJ to the Hudson River in New York, the Highlands Trail traverses some of New Jersey's highlights. Though the trail continues, the section mapped here will allow hikers to admire the whole state of New Jersey. The trail is a combination of co-alignments with other established trails, new trails, and road hiking. The Highlands Trail is marked by a teal diamond blaze, which is fairly easy to see in most places. Hikers should still pay attention to signage, as the Highlands Trail will often split off from other established trails in the co-aligned sections. The GPX map file and trail information were offered by the NY/NJ Trail Conference. A more detailed description of the various sections of the trail can be found here.
