With over 80 miles of trails, itas impossible to see all of Forest Park even if you have an entire weekend. The Lower Macleay Trail Loop, however, will give you a great impression of what the nationas largest city park park has to offer. The Lower Macleay Trail Loop is a combination of interconnected trails that will immerse you in the parkas rich vegetation, far from the clambering of the city below. Along the way you will walk beside a babbling creek, discover the parkas landmark Stone House, and pass through some of Portlandas finest neighborhoods. Other easy introductory hikes include the Wild Cherry Trail Loop, the Springville Trail Loop, and the Ridge Trail.
