Description
This is a fun hike! Scrambling/climbing up past the waterfall isn't terribly difficult, and neither is getting down that section. Just be careful you don't generate rock-fall for those camped out at the base of the waterfall. Once past the scrambling section, you'll find a trail that quickly becomes difficult to follow. Just follow the creek as it bends southwest. Before the creek bends west, leave it and hike straight up the slope, bushwacking off-trail through dense brush and scrambling across scree. Once up above the rock ledges, look around, and you'll find a trail that takes you to the cabin. Consider coming down the well-worn trail that follows the north ridge of Adam's Canyon. Or you could continue on up to Thurston Peak, then come down the south ridge of Adam's Canyon where there is another well-stocked cabin along the way. Note that Adam did not build the cabin, so I don't refer to it as "Adam's Cabin." Also, I believe that users of the cabin are expected to replace what food they eat with food they bring. Don't bother reading the cabin log. There's a lot of innuendo in there.

If you think this trail is a nice connector for Adam’s canyon to Adam’s ridge, you are wrong. And so was I. It took 3 hours of dense bush wacking, navigating avalanche debris along the river, and going down tons of loose rock. There is NO TRAIL. This is not a trail. Nothing. Don’t be fooled. Turn back now. Or take someone up it that you are seeking revenge against. You’re choice.

Some Issues
This is NOT a trail. It's a reasonable bushwhacking route. I did the cabin trail to down this route and out Adams and my legs are looking like The Passion of the Christ. After you climb the waterfall chute and pass the nice homeless man's encampment there's only occasional signs that humans have EVER been there. Pretty sure I spooked a cougar too, and not the fun kind. Don't do it.
