Paw Paw Trail

The Paw Paw Trail is a nice trail that travels through the woodland of Turkey Run Park and is shared with bikers. There are opportunities to make a longer and more challenging hike by adding on the Chinquapin Trail (approximately 2.0 mile loop) which leaves and then re-enters the Paw Paw Trail around the halfway point. The trail itself is fairly smooth, with some rocks and roots, as well as mountain bike "pumps." It crosses a couple of smaller creeks which are generally fordable on stones without getting wet, but are shallow enough to hike through too. The Hickory Trail makes for an alternative way back, beginning at the end of the Paw Paw Trail and linking back up with it around the halfway point.
