Generally accessible from June to October.

Point to Point
The Sugar Lake Trail was rebuilt in 2013 but is purposefully not maintained to discourage visitation to this unique ecosystem that contains one of the most diverse conifer forests in North America (known as Miracle Mile). The trail is a singletrack dirt path that follows Sugar Creek and is overgrown but is still easy to follow. The trail to South Sugar Lake splits off about halfway up the Sugar Lake Trail.
All Clear
Blooming snow plants and other blooming alpine flowers. Lake is small and without easy shoreline access, that is, no rocks or logs to sit on at lakeshore. Nice campsite. Flowing water available at lake’s outlet. In Russian Wilderness.
