Description
Look for the sign that says "To Backbone Trail". Some of the markings are damaged so when you see the abandoned farm house at Murphys Ranch, look left (West) and you'll be able to see the only ascending trail. Continue your ascent on loose dirt and keep an eye out for roots on the singletrack trail. The middle section of the climb will involve climbing with your hands, and be warned that it might be tricky, especially on a dry, hot day. The trail will end at the Backbone Trail - Will Rogers State Park to The Hub. Take a right to continue to the hub and left will take you down to Will Rogers State Park.
