Description
This is a completely paved road that brings visitors all the way up to the Sweeney Ridge. Closed off to cars, the road is well utilized by cyclists. The climb out of the valley to the ridge is gradual and the view down toward the San Andreas Lake is beautiful. Once on the ridge you'll of course see the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to stand where the Portola Expedition first viewed the San Francisco Bay!
