This trail is big on beauty and difficulty as it climbs from Black Mountain campground to the top of Green Knob and its Fire Tower! The trail is steep and technical and follows the ridgeline for its climb to the summit. The views of the Black Mountains from the fire tower are phenomenal and well worth the climb. The trail ends at the Blue Ridge Parkway near an amazing overlook.
