The trail is well-suited for experienced hikers looking for a moderate to challenging day hike.Starting from Olivia Terrace, the hike follows the Chandler Motorway, a dirt road path that passes the prominent La Tuna Peak and winds across La Tuna Canyon. Venturing onto a primitive single-track trail, hikers are treated to expansive views of the Los Angeles Basin. Along this ridge, the trail passes the historical site of an old Boy Scout Camp before eventually reconnecting with a dirt road path.Descending towards the Stough Canyon Nature Center, hikers can utilize the facilities, including restrooms, and explore the center's educational exhibits about the Verdugo Mountains' wildlife, flora, fauna, and habitats.The return journey heads back to the Stough Canyon Motorway, turning left at Stough Saddle, and following the Chandler Motorway back to the starting point.FLORA AND FAUNAThe Verdugo Mountains host a diverse ecosystem.
