Baquiano Trail

Driving up to the parking area is steep, and it's a premonition of what the trail will be like. You guessed it, the ascent will be too. Switchbacks make the climb much easier though. Near the top of the ridge it flattens out and becomes a fireroad. Be sure to look back so you don't miss the view. Watch out for the occasional mountain biker, as this trail is popular with pedestrians and cyclists alike. This trail leads to the Portola Expedition San Francisco Bay Discovery Site.
