Fox Creek doesn't have a clear trail to the second (tallest) waterfall, but this is a fun and unique adventure that not many do! There are two falls along this trail. The first falls are close to the road and will only take less than 15 min to get to. The second waterfall will take more time, but is worth the effort. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet as you may need to hike through the creek in parts, but overall we missed most of the water hiking by finding large rocks to step on. You will see the trailhead for Fox Creek just on the east side of the bridge. There is a narrow canyon and you simply hike up. It was a fairly easy hike to traverse with minor rock scrambling in a few locations. The canyon is steep on the sides and there is a ton of shale all over the place. Just inside of Fox Creek you will see this water chute. Above the water chute you will see a steep area where you will need to hike across the creek to the other side then up to the top. This was probably the trickiest area as the rocks were slippery. Just a little farther and you will come to the waterfall. The waterfall is about 35 feet in length and in the warmer months it provided a nice cool mist. It's a quick and fun hike that is seldom visited.
